Streamline Receives Top Certification for Data Security, Compliance

Streamline has achieved a milestone security certification – called SOC 2 – that ensures the highest standards of data security and compliance. The SOC 2 security framework specifies how organizations should protect customer data from unauthorized access, security incidents and other vulnerabilities. Achieving this certification included a thorough audit of Streamline’s systems and processes to ensure they meet the stringent requirements.

Streamline has also implemented controls to comply with HIPAA’s security rule. Next, it will pursue SOC 2 Type 2 certification, with a target date of Q3 to reach that milestone.

County Contacts for CalMHSA Connex Needed by May 31

CalMHSA asks counties to send the names and email addresses of anyone they would like to have access to CalMHSA Connex by May 31. Designated users must not have data access restrictions, as CalMHSA will make available to counties the same data that is accessible via client patient access API, regardless of CDAG or program enrollment.

Additionally, if your county has any clients who should have restricted or highly sequestered data with Connex once it goes live, please provide that information by June 14. Questions about CalMHSA Connex can be directed to [email protected].

Client Medical Facesheet Now Available

The first version of the Client Medical Facesheet is now available in county PROD systems. The purpose of this report is to enable a split screen so providers can see relevant and compiled medical information about their patient in a single report. Users with default access to this are those with permission to Medication Rx, Add Medications Prescribed Elsewhere, Add Pharmacies to Rx, Prescriber, IP/CSU/Res and Medical IP/CSU/Res.

Instructions are available here. Next up, our team will be releasing update to the facesheet with the new medical psych template that will include the following fixes:

  • Including appointment times
  • Common Lab Results to follow standard view sequence that mirrors Lab Results Review

Submit Datapalooza Data by June 14

To ensure a smooth process and avoid delays, CalMHSA encourages counties to submit their Datapalooza data ahead of the June 14 deadline. Early submissions are processed sooner, which allows for faster feedback and quicker resolution of any issues.

To submit data, send files to Roksana Dahl at [email protected]. If you have already entered the data manually, confirm your submission by emailing [email protected] immediately. Please note that submissions are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Data requirements for 2024-25 fiscal year

To create rates and billing codes for the 2024-25 fiscal year, each county must integrate the following three data elements for each program in SmartCare:

  • Program Services (Required)
  • Funding Source
  • Location

Completion of the “Program Services” data element is mandatory for generating rates and billing codes; more information is available here. To import Datapalooza data, a spreadsheet is available for counties to download.

Counties will receive an extract of their programs, including the program ID and name, from SmartCare.

Attestation Signatures, Participation Agreements Needed for DxF Grants

Attestation documents for the Center for Data Insights and Innovation Data Exchange Framework grant have been sent to counties to begin obtaining the necessary signatures. As a reminder, to submit for the full grant, proof of procurement is required, which means that each county’s Participation Agreements must be fully executed with CalMHSA.

Opt Out for Data Sharing Now Available

CalMHSA has created functionality to allow county users to facilitate a client’s request to opt-out of data sharing directly within SmartCare. Learn more in our how-to guide.
