Updated Invoice Generators Available on Website
The latest versions of the Invoice Generators are available for download.
What has changed:
- New FY 2026-27 tabs added to support invoicing
- New BH Connect FY 2026-27 tab added for invoicing BH-Connect monthly bundles. This tab will be ready for use beginning July 20, when the updated contract provider charge export (including mode of delivery) is available in production. Instructions will be shared through the Bulletin and posted on the website.
- FY 2023-24 tabs removed. Previous versions of the Invoice Generators have been retained on the website for counties that need to invoice for FY 2023-24 services. To distinguish them from the current versions, “ARCHIVED – Contains 23/24 FY Data” has been added to the file names.
- Updated H2012 rate calculation. For H2012 services, the half-day rate will be applied to services lasting four hours or less, and the full-day rate will be applied to services lasting five hours or more. This update aligns the Invoice Generators with DHCS fee schedules.
Please note: Beginning July 20, counties must use the new Invoice Generators to continue invoicing. Counties may begin using the updated Invoice Generators immediately with the current version of the contract provider charge export available in production.
New Tool Helps Counties With Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) Implementation
As counties prepare for EBP implementation, questions may arise around documentation requirements, billing considerations, workflow impacts, and SmartCare readiness. To support counties during this process, CalMHSA has developed the SmartCare Evidence-Based Practices Implementation Update, which addresses common questions and provides guidance on EBP implementation within SmartCare.
Key Topics
- SmartCare readiness, including billing and claiming preparation activities
- APIs and system integration considerations
- Fidelity expectations for EBP implementation
- Additional resources and reference materials
The document is available on the Knowledge Base as SmartCare Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) Implementation Update. Counties are encouraged to review this resource as they plan for EBP implementation. Questions can be directed to the CalMHSA EHR Help Desk.

Cloudflare Security Challenge for International Website Access
The CalMHSA security team will be implementing a Cloudflare security challenge for users accessing select CalMHSA websites from outside the U.S. This additional security measure is intended to reduce automated bot traffic while allowing legitimate users to continue accessing our websites with minimal disruption.
This configuration is currently being piloted and will be closely monitored to assess its effectiveness and user impact.
If you receive reports of access issues, concerns from users, or instances where a user believes they have been incorrectly blocked, please submit a Help Desk ticket so the issue can be investigated.
