Diagnosis Document Requirement Update

As part of the recent MSP release, the diagnosis document requirement has been updated.

Moving forward, a new diagnosis document is required each time a client is enrolled in a program. While this has always been considered best practice, some counties were able to continue using a previously completed document. This is no longer supported.

For example:

  • A client enrolled in Program A requires a diagnosis document.
  • If the client is discharged from Program A and later enrolled in Program B, a new diagnosis document is required.
  • If the client is subsequently re-enrolled in Program A, a new diagnosis document is required at the time of re-enrollment.

CalMHSA recognizes this change may require workflow adjustments for some counties and appreciates your support in implementing the updated process.

ASCMI and Coordinated Care Consent: Known Issue

CalMHSA is aware of a known issue involving the interaction between the ASCMI and coordinated care consent documents.

In certain cases, a client may have a historical coordinated care consent indicating that information sharing is permitted. If the client later completes an ASCMI and selects “No” for SUD information sharing, CDAG rules are not being reinstated as expected.

CalMHSA has escalated this issue to Streamline and is working toward a resolution. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Cumulative Lab Flowsheet Report Correction and Renaming

CalMHSA has corrected a data integrity issue affecting the Cumulative Lab Flowsheet report. Under certain circumstances, the report could display records associated with other clients in addition to the selected client’s data.

The issue has been resolved, and the report will now display only records associated with the selected client; the anticipated production release is June 22.

As part of this update, the report has been renamed CalMHSA 126 – Cumulative Lab Flowsheet Report to align with CalMHSA naming standards.

March and April MSP QA Deployment, June 24 Testing Meeting

The March and April MSP releases were deployed to QA on June 9. Release notes are available on the EHR Knowledge Base.

CalMHSA will host a county-facing MSP testing meeting on June 24 at 10 a.m. to collaborate on and improve the MSP testing process.

CalMHSA will continue to share updates on issue fixes and new features. If you have any questions, please contact the CalMHSA Help Desk.

CalMHSA and Help Desk Closed for Juneteenth

CalMHSA and the Help Desk will be closed on June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
