CalMHSA to Manage All Help Desk Activities Starting March 1

Beginning March 1, CalMHSA will fully transition to managing all Help Desk services and implementing HubSpot for ticket management and online chat. We appreciate Buchanan for their valuable support during the initial launch phase.

HubSpot Training
Please mark your calendars for upcoming HubSpot trainings Feb. 26 at noon and Feb. 28 at noon. Invites were sent last week; counties can also register through the CalMHSA Event Calendar. Additionally, trainings will be recorded for those who are unable to attend:

How to Get Support
The following will become active on March 1:

  1. Live Chat: Visit calmhsa.org and click the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of most pages for immediate assistance.
  2. Support Ticket: Submit a ticket at calmhsa.org/support by completing our support form. The support form is also available as a link in the Customer Ticket Portal.
  3. Register for a Customer Ticket Portal Account: Visit https://ehr-support.calmhsa.org/tickets-view. No tickets will show until submitted.

Contacting support through any of these channels will connect you directly with a member of the CalMHSA Support Team.

Major Compliance Milestone for CalMHSA Connex

CalMHSA is excited to announce that CalMHSA Connex has successfully completed the onboarding process to Carequality, which paves the path toward signatory compliance with the California Data Exchange Framework (DxF). This achievement represents a significant milestone in our continued commitment to advancing health care data exchange standards, improving interoperability, and supporting the delivery of more efficient, client-centered care across California.

With the completion of the initial onboarding, CalMHSA will continue our efforts to connect to specific organizations via Carequality. These steps reinforce our ongoing dedication to fostering seamless communication in health care, helping us stay at the forefront of industry standards and regulatory requirements. We look forward to leveraging this accomplishment to continue building stronger relationships with our partners and improving health care services.

CARE Act Reporting Updates

The CARE Act Reporting issues have been resolved in production environments. Counties may need to refresh data to see the changes. For the “At least one service must be selected” issue, there is a new validation on the CARE Act Reporting Document in QA environments. This fix is planned to be deployed to Prod this weekend. However, this will impact only new CARE Act reporting documents. Any documents that have already been created will not be impacted.

If this error continues to show up on the CARE Act Reporting List Page, please ask the author edit the document to fix the issue. All relevant information about this issue is covered in “How to Report CARE Act Data” in the Knowledge Base.

Search Functionality Enhanced for Diagnosis/ICD 10 Codes

Streamline has improved its diagnosis /ICD10 search functionality (e.g., Billing Diagnosis Tab, Diagnosis Document, Problem List (Client)). This new feature allows users to opt for a more advanced diagnosis search experience when the configuration key “SetDiagnosisAdvancedSearch” is enabled to “Yes.” Counties will also be able to disable the configuration key if desired.

The search has been enhanced primarily through both frequency and favorites.

 Frequency search types include:

  1. Popular Searches: Common searches performed by other users
  2. User’s Search History: Previous searches performed by the user
  3. Context: The context of the user’s current search, such as timestamp or previous search behavior
  4. Keywords: Relevant keywords related to the partial input
  5. Combo Search: Allows users to combine multiple search criteria or filters to refine search results. This can include combining ICD10+ Diagnosis description or Snomed code + Diagnosis description to narrow down the search and find more specific results. Data model supports this as well.
  6. String Search: Searching for specific sequences of characters within a text or database. This involves finding occurrences of a particular string (a series of characters) within a larger body of text.

Favorites Search
An existing option is being used to add the diagnosis to favorites dropdown. Codes added to favorites will be retrieved and shown in the search list. If a user adds an ICD code into their Favorites list for a particular keyword (e.g., “Fever”), then upon searching the ICD code for the keyword “Fever,” the favorited ICD code will display at top, followed by frequency searched ICD codes, then all the remaining ICD codes.
