If you are planning to cut a tablet into half or thirds, please consider using “as directed” and be explicit in your “Instruction Text” which must include dose, frequency, route.
This will help explain to patient/pharmacy, they are NOT taking the full tablet. Consider in “Notes to Pharmacy” to inform your pharmacist of the order and ask your pharmacist to educate on cutting tablets.
Reminder: You can always override the dispense quantity that auto-filled based on days to whatever you think is appropriate.
