Different providers can have overlapping services and use same and/or different procedures for the same patient.
The same provider can also have overlapping services using different procedures with the same patients.

However, if the same provider tries to have an overlapping service of an existing same procedure, will get an error stating that “you cannot have duplicated services” and you will NOT be able to save/sign the second note We recommend having someone else cancel the original appointment so that you can try and save. In general, we would recommend that providers try to use the existing service in order to avoid this error.
