August, September MSPs in QA
The August and September MSPs are now in county QA environments and available for testing. Prod deployment is TBD. Release notes can be found at https://2023.calmhsa.org/release-notes/.
Mobile Crisis Reporting Updates
CalMHSA has worked through all development and testing for the mobile crisis progress notes for state reporting, and changes have been deployed. Our aim was to get this into prod environments as soon as possible so that counties can enter full state reporting data records as close as possible to Jan. 1.
The first reporting period will be Jan. 1 – March 31, 2026. Changes have been outlined on the Mobile Crisis Protocol page, and Knowledge Base articles have been updated. Please note that a new progress note, Mobile Crisis Follow-Up Note, was created.
We appreciate your understanding of the delay of this information due to the holidays. Please reach out if you have any questions.
My Preferences: Email Address Field Permission
In the October sys admin meeting, counties discussed a permission record for the user’s email address field in the My Preferences screen, so that users could not edit their own email address. In response, CalMHSA provided information about how to create permission records and is now requesting that counties who do NOT want this permission record to be created respond via [email protected] by Friday, Jan. 23.
If CalMHSA does not receive any negative feedback, we will create the permission item on Jan. 30. If any counties object to the change, we will report back in the Jan. 29 Bulletin.
If your county has already created a permission record for this field, please also let us know via [email protected].
Adding Special Populations for BHSA
CalMHSA will be adding two new special populations to address BHSA funding tracking for homeless clients.
- Homeless – Chronic
- Homeless – Living in an Encampment
These codes will be deployed to production environments tomorrow, Jan. 9. These will be Non-SUD Special Populations options, which means they can be used for both MH and SUD programs and are visible to all. For more information, see the BHSA Homeless Tracking protocol.
MLK Holiday and Prod Deployment
Due to the upcoming Martin Luther King Holiday, the normal Prod build will be deployed on Monday night, Jan. 19.
