Diagnosis Document and ClientProgramId Mismatch: County Data Available Nov. 2
To help correct an issue affecting some county diagnosis documents, CalMHSA will load associated data to counties’ CalMHSA
Member Portals by end of day on Nov. 2. Counties are asked to check their portals at that time.
CalMHSA discovered a previous script that resulted in incorrect ClientProgramIds, This primarily affected the diagnosis documents, because services pull the ICD-10 codes from the diagnosis document associated with the appropriate ClientProgramId. Since discovering the issue, CalMHSA has worked with Streamline to get the data for the existing diagnosis documents that may still have the incorrect ClientProgramIds assigned.
During a recent county-to-county SysAdmin meeting discussion, counties indicated they do not want to run a corrective script. Instead, they asked to review the data first to better understand the affected diagnosis documents before making a final decision.
Request ISL Code Assignment to Programs Early to Meet Jan. 1 Go-Live
To be ready for the Jan.1, 2027, ISL go-live, counties interested in CalMHIN’s ISL Code Assignment to Programs service should initiate the process as soon as possible. The ISL Code Assignment to Programs: Deployment Timeline outlines the anticipated steps, responsible parties, and estimated timeframes for completing the work.
To start the process, counties are asked to:
- Go to the CalMHSA Customer Ticket Portal.
- Select “Submit Support Ticket.”
- Choose “ISL Configuration” from the Ticket Category dropdown menu.
- Attach the completed Program Inventory to the ticket. The process cannot begin without it.
Timeline Considerations
- Counties will need to review and finalize the Program Inventory and sign off on the QA instance before production deployment can proceed.
- Each step depends on the timely completion of the step before it, so a delay at any stage could delay the overall process and affect readiness for the Jan. 1 go-live.
- Holidays and planned staff time off should be factored into county timelines.
Questions or requests for assistance can be directed to the ISL Support Team through the ticketing system.
New Protocols Published; More in Development
CalMHSA recently published protocols for BHIN 26-022 and BHIN 26-031. A new protocol for BHIN 26-032 and an update for the LPS Reporting protocol, covering multiple BHINs, will follow. CalMHSA is also aware of the draft PSC BHIN and will await further direction from DHCS, as certain aspects need clarification. Updates will be posted on the protocols page.
