Brief Description: Determines if the user should be hard-stopped, warned, or ignored when entering an address where the city and zip do not match.
Details:
This is applicable only on 2 fields of the address popup i.e. Zip and State. It won’t be applicable on other fields in the address popup i.e. Street, City. It also doesn’t validate to make sure these fields are entered. If one field is entered, the system will check the other field is also entered. If neither field is entered, the system does NOT return a validation or warning.
- If the key-value is set to ‘ Validation’, a validation will be displayed on the following conditions:
- When a user enters only Zip without entering a State – a validation will be displayed “Please enter the State”
- When a user enters only a State without entering a Zip – a validation will be displayed “Please enter the Zip”
- When user enters both Zip and State and their combination do not match, a validation message gets displayed – “Zip and State combination do not exist. Please correct before proceeding”
- When a user doesn’t enter both the Zip and State – no validation message will be displayed
- If the key-value is set to ‘Warning’ a warning message will be displayed on following conditions:
- When a user enters only Zip without entering state – a warning message will be displayed “State is missing, but you can proceed with saving.”
- When a user enters only State without entering a Zip – warning message will be displayed “Zip is missing, but you can proceed with saving.”
- When user enters both zip and state and their combination do not match, a warning message gets displayed – “Zip and State combination do not exist, but you can proceed with saving”
- When a user doesn’t enter both the Zip and State – no warning message will be displayed
- If the key-value is set to “None” neither validation nor warning message will be displayed regardless of whether a user inputs only a zip code, a state, or a combination that doesn’t match our records when both have been entered. This will be the default value of the key as it drives the existing behavior.
Validation Message: Validation message serves as a strict check that will prevent the user from proceeding until the validation is corrected.
Warning Message: Warning messages are gentle alerts that display if the defined conditions are not met but will allow the user to proceed.
Note: If by chance the value of the key is updated with any value apart from the allowed values, the system will consider the default behavior, i.e. same as the key value is “None”.
Default Value: None
Allowed Values: None, Validation, Warning
