How to Enter Client Allergies (SmartCare Client Allergy Screen)

To enter client allergies, follow the steps below: 

  1. Click the Search icon, with client open.
  2. Type Client Allergies into the search bar. 
  3. Click to select Client Allergies (Client)
  1. Click the Status drop-down and select the appropriate response.
  1. If there are no known allergies, click the checkbox. 
  1. To add an allergy, click inside the Allergy text box and type the name of the medication. Click enter on your keyboard. A window will open. 
  2. Click the radio button for the medication you want to select. 
  3. Enter a comment if applicable.
  4. It will automatically default to an allergy, but you can also change it to an intolerance or failed test. Click the radio button to change. 
  5. Click OK.

Note:  To make an allergy inactive you can de-select the active checkbox. 

  1. Click the Reaction dropdown menu to select the appropriate reaction.
  2. Click the Severity dropdown menu to select the appropriate severity.
  3. Add comments if needed.
  4. Click Insert.

How to Modify an Allergy

To modify an allergy or make it inactive, 

  1. Click the Allergy radio button
  2. Make changes or click the uncheck the Active checkbox
  3. Click Modify.
  4. Click Save
