How to Document a Self-Administered Medication on the Client MAR

This will cover how to Document Medications that are Self-Administered on the Client MAR (Client) screen. In order to utilize this workflow, the Medication Order must have the “Self-Administered” option enabled by a County System Administrator and have the “May Self Administer” checkbox selected. This process can be used by Nursing, Prescribers, and Clinical Support.

  1. Click on the Search icon with the client open.
  2. Type Client MAR in the search bar.
  3. Select “Client MAR (Client)” from the search results.
  1. This will open the Client MAR list page. Filter the page if needed.
  1. At the time of Administration, you will see the Blue Checkmark “Self-Administered“ icon under the currently active Timeslot Column. Click the Checkmark icon to mark the Medication as Self-Administered.

The entry will have updated as Self-Administered along with the time the medication was Self-Administered
