How to Address Validations on the Inquiry Details Screen

Overview

We continue to have counties reporting that there are validations on the Inquiry Details screen that don’t make sense. While troubleshooting these issues, we have found that these validations are not currently included in the primary sync, meaning changes that CalMHSA has made to address these issues have not been pushed to county environments.

To ameliorate this issue with haste, we are providing information on how to deactivate validations on the Inquiry Details screen.

Please note that we are aware that many of the validations will appear “active”, even though they don’t seem to be in practice. We are working with Streamline to clarify the logic of these validations and whether they are active in our system or not.

The two validations that counties seem to be experiencing are the following:

  1. Initial – Client Information (Potential) – Gender is required
  2. Initial – Referral Resource – Organization Name or First Name/Last Name is required

CalMHSA recommends deactivating both of these in your system.

How to Deactivate a Validation from the Inquiry Details Screen

    1. Click on the Search icon.
    2. Type “detail screen” in the search bar.
    3. Click to select “Detail Screen Validations List Page (Administration)” from the search results.
  1. Use the filters to find the validations for the Inquiry Details screen.
    1. In the Search field, type “Inquiry Details”. This is a live-search field, so as you type, search results will populate. Click to select “Inquiry Details”.
    2. Check “Screen Name”
    3. Click “Apply Filter”
  1. Find the validation you want to deactivate.
    1. Click on the checkbox to select the validation.
    2. Click the “Deactivate” icon
  1. This will bring up a confirmation message. Click OK to deactivate the validation.
  1. This takes you back to the list page. Confirm the validation was successfully deactivated by seeing “No” in the “Active” column.
