- Production environment – default coded as Blue
- QA environment – default coded as Yellow
- Train environment – default coded as Green

Enter the username and temporary password your system administrator provided you and click login.

Creating your password
- You will see a pop-up that indicates your password has expired. Click OK.

This takes you to the Change Password screen. Enter your old password (the one your System Administrator provided for you).
Create and enter a new password. Check with your System Administrator for password requirements. You’ll need to re-enter it in Confirm Password.

- If your password meets the system requirements, you’ll see a green check next to the New Password field. Click OK.

- This takes you back to the login screen. Your username and new password has already been entered. Simply click Login.

Setting up your security questions
Next, you’ll come to a screen where you can create your security questions. If you need to use the “Forgot your Username?” or “Forgot your Password?” options, you will need to answer one of these questions to continue.
- Click the drop-down menu next to each security question
- Click to select the security question you want to use

- In the Answer field, type the answer to your chosen security question.
- Repeat this for the remaining two questions
- Click Save.

Multi-Factor Authentication
If your county has MFA turned on, then this will take you to another screen. The MFA screen will look like this:
(If your county does not have MFA turned on for the environment you’re logging into, skip to the “Success!” section of this article.)

Look in your email inbox for a message from [email protected]

Enter your security question answer and the 2FA code sent to your inbox. Click Submit.

Success!
This should take you into SmartCare. You’ve successfully logged in! Your default page is likely the dashboard, which looks similar to the below screenshot.
The next time you log in, you won’t have to do all of this setup. You’ll simply log in using your username and the password you created. You may need to enter a security question answer, depending on how your system administrator has setup your county’s privacy settings.
