Deadline for Short Doyle Medi-Cal 837 Claims Submission Is April 30
DHCS has established April 30 as the deadline for submitting Short Doyle Medi-Cal 837 claims. Counties that wish to receive reimbursement before the end of the current fiscal year must submit their claims by this date. Claims submitted after April 30 will be processed following the approval and signing of the 2025-26 fiscal year budget by the Governor.
Additionally, please ensure administrative claims (Admin and QAUR) are submitted by April 20 to allow sufficient time for manual claim processing.
Feedback Requested: Medical Record/Quality Assurance User Role and Delete Permission
In the March 21 Bulletin, we reported a request we received to grant the delete permission for scanned documents to the Medical Records/Quality Assurance user role. CalMHSA agrees that medical records staff are often the individuals expected to make this type of change, recognizing that every county works differently. Because deleting a record from the system could cause issues, we offered counties the opportunity to provide feedback about this change by April 3.
We received two responses: one positive and one negative. Because we received negative feedback, we will not be making this change immediately. We are currently recommending that counties create add-on user roles to add the requested delete permissions or simply grant access to the staff directly.
Because we received very limited feedback on this, we are requesting that all counties respond to this issue by having your EHR lead complete this short survey by May 9. Note that there is an option for indicating your county is indifferent if already addressing this via custom county user roles.
