CalMHSA Help Desk Closure – March 31 Holiday
The CalMHSA Help Desk will be closed on March 31 in observance of the Cesar Chavez holiday. Any tickets submitted on this day will be reviewed and responded to on the next business day.
Billing Lockout Tables Updated
On March 20, county QA environments were updated with the latest outpatient lockouts from the DHCS 2024-25 service tables, ensuring that lockout charge error messages are displayed for the appropriate outpatient procedure combinations.
CalMHSA requests that counties review and provide feedback on this change during the April 3 Billing Office Hours. Your feedback will help us determine whether this change can be applied to production environments. To test the update, new services can be entered to trigger a lockout, or existing charges can be placed in the “Not Ready to Bill” status. The nightly billing job will then assess and re-apply the lockout warnings as applicable.
“Client is an Adult with Guardian” Alert
Last week, we changed the name of “Guardian” to “Caregiver” to distinguish it from “Legal Guardian.” Because this change is causing some confusion, we will revert the name back to “Guardian” and wait on additional guidance from Streamline on how this differs from “Legal Guardian.” The reversion will take place March 28.
There is a known issue with this functionality where the alert, “Client is an Adult with Guardian,” appears even when the contact marked as “Guardian” is inactive. CalMHSA is working through this with Streamline.
