AllowDrag&DropReorderingInCoreDiagnosisControl

NOTE: This is only in QA systems at this time.

Brief Description: This key will allow drag-&-drop reordering of diagnoses in the core diagnosis control

Description: This is a new feature being added to the core product by introducing a system Configuration Key. This key will control the ability of the user to drag and drop a diagnosis to re-order a diagnosis in the list of diagnoses when using the core Diagnosis Control, like in the core Diagnosis Document.

  • A) If the Key Value is set to “No”, then the system will operate the same as prior to these changes being released. Diagnoses will have to be re-ordered by specifying an unoccupied ‘Order’ in the Diagnosis List. This will be the default value of this Configuration Key.
  • B) If the Key Value is set to “Yes”, then:

Drag-and-drop reordering will be enabled, which will allow the user to change the ‘Order’ when dropped into a particular position, and the list will re-sort dynamically so that the ‘Order’ is always in a continuous sequence, like 1, 2, 3, etc.

When a diagnosis is moved to the Order=1 position, it will automatically be marked as Type=Primary.

When a diagnosis is moved from the Order=1 position to a different Order, then the Type will change from ‘Primary’ to ‘Additional’ and the previous Order=2 diagnosis will move to Order=1 and the Type will change to ‘Primary’.

If a diagnosis is moved from any Order to any other Order that is NOT Order=1, then the Type will not change.

If a diagnoses is being added or modified to an ‘Order’ that already exists, then the system will now allow that Order to be ‘Inserted’/’Modified’, and the Diagnosis List will dynamically re-sort to stay in sequence with the same rules as above regarding ‘Type’.

On modification of the Diagnosis List, the sequence should re-order to a continuous sequence. So, if before this Key is set to ‘Yes’, diagnoses were ordered 1, 2, 4, 5, & 7, then after it is set to ‘Yes’ and any change is made, it should re-order to 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5, where 4 moved to 3, 5 moved to 4, and 7 moved to 5

A label should be added adjacent to the ‘Diagnosis List’ label – ‘(Diagnoses allow drag-&-drop reordering)’ – in the Diagnosis List area indicating that this functionality is enabled.

Note:

If, by chance, the Value of the Key is updated with any value other than ‘Yes’ or ‘No’, then the system will function according to default behavior (i.e., same as the Key Value being “No”).
