CalMHSA’s Policy Implementation Support offering helps county behavioral health plans (BHPs) translate complex statewide requirements into clear, operational practices and supports counties through implementation. These services are available to counties through a CalMHSA Participation Agreement for this specific service.
Policy Playbooks & Policy Implementation Resources
Through Policy Implementation Support, CalMHSA develops policy implementation tools and resources that help counties translate statewide policy requirements into practical operational approaches within SmartCare. These tools and resources may include Playbooks, policy guidance documents, dashboards, data tools, and other materials designed to support consistent implementation, compliance, and continuous quality improvement.
Policy Implementation Support expands beyond resource development to include implementation assistance, helping counties operationalize recommended workflows and put guidance into practice. Counties will also receive access to on-demand training to support successful adoption and ongoing use of policy implementation tools, resources, dashboards, and related guidance materials.
