CalMHSA 207 – CARE Act Claiming Report

Report Description

This report is designed to display a consolidated overview of all CARE Act services, grouping by the “CARE Act” procedure codes accordingly. For each service type, the total number of Service Time in minutes is calculated, then converted into hours. The resulting hours are rounded to the nearest 0.25 increment. This rounded value is then recorded in the report for each service type. Subtotals within the report are calculated by summing these rounded hourly values and are not subject to additional rounding. The “CARE Act – Outreach and Engagement Activity” category is the only category where travel time is included along with Service time in the calculation. The following procedure codes are being calculated into the following category.

This query will retrieve all “CARE Act” procedure code service records with the following criteria:

·       Service records are complete status

·       Associated service note document is in signed status

·       Service’s date of service year value matches with the entered Calendar Year parameter

·       Service’s date of service month value is within the entered quarter value of the Quarter parameter.

o   1st Quarter: Jan, Feb, and Mar

o   2nd Quarter: Apr, May, and Jun

o   3rd Quarter: Jul, Aug, and Sep

o   4th Quarter: Oct, Nov, and Dec

The following steps are taken when calculating the hour value .

·       Take the service time (service and travel time for “CARE Act – Outreach and Engagement Activity”)

·       Sum them up per each clinician.

·       Round the sum to the nearest 0.25 hour.

·       Results are the following:

o   0-7 mins = 0 hour

o   8-22 mins = 0.25 hour

o   23-37 mins = 0.5 hour

o   38 to 52 mins = 0.75 hour

o   53 to 67 mins = 1 hour
