CalMHSA BHQIP Report (My Office)

This report is designed to pull data from both the “Adult Medi-Cal Screening Tool” and “Youth Medi-Cal Screening Tool”. It will determine on client’s MCP/MHP, PCP, SUD, and Clinician referral. It gives users options on filtering out the data between dates, programs, and screening tool.

  1. Click on the Search icon.
  2. Type “CalMHSA BHQIP in the search bar.
  3. Select CalMHSA BHQIP Report from the search results.

This will bring up the CalMHSA BHQIP report. Use the filters as needed.

Filters

    1. FROM: A date filter that allows users to specify the beginning date of their desired date range
    2. THRU: A date filter that allows users to specify the end date of their desired date range
    3. Program: A multiple select dropdown filter that allows users to specify which programs the data will be pulled from.
    4. Screening Tools: A single select dropdown filter that allows users to specify whether they want to see only adult, youth, or both screenings.
    5. Show Footer: A single select dropdown filter that allows users to specify whether they want the footer of the report to appear or not.

Columns

    1. Screening Tool: Displays whether the screening record is a Adult one or a Youth one
    2. Client Id: Displays the client’s ID
    3. Client Name: Displays the client’s name
    4. Program Name: Displays the Program Name
    5. Author Name: Displays the staff member’s name who signed off the screening
    6. Date of Doc: Displays the effective date of the screening.
    7. Crisis: Displays whether the situation was a crisis/emergency one or not. This would be documented as such by the signing staff member in the screening.
    8. Self/Other: Displays whether the screening was regarding to someone else or to the reporting client. This would only pertain to Youth screenings. Adult screenings would show N/A for this column.
    9. Currently Receiving Services?: Displays whether it was documented in the screening that the client was receiving services at the time. This would only pertain to Adult screenings. Youth screenings would show N/A for this column.
    10. Screening Total Score: Displays the total score resulted from the screening.
    11. Referred to MCP/MHP: Displays the MCP/MHP referral results of the screening
      • Logic for the MCP/MHP referral is as follows:
        • If the situation was a crisis/emergency, then display N/A
        • If the client was already receiving treatment from MCP or MHP then display them as chosen. If the client was already receiving treatment and “other” was selected, then the report would display MCP by default.
        • If the total score of the screening was 5 and lower, then the report would display MCP. If the total score of the screen was 6 and higher, then the report would display MHP.
        • **Only Pertaining to Youth** If it was indicated that the Youth was in the legal system in some way, was involved in the child welfare/foster system, or was homeless then the report would display MHP.
    1. Referred to PCP: Displays the PCP referral results of the screening. This would only pertain to Youth screenings. Adult screenings would show N/A for this column.
      • Logic for the PCP referral for Youths is as follows:
        1. If the situation was a crisis/emergency, then display N/A
        2. If the youth’s last pediatrician/primary care provider appointment was more than 6 months from the date of the screening and the youth’s age is 3 or less years, then display ‘Y’.
        3. If the youth’s last pediatrician/primary care provider appointment was more than a year and the youth’s age is 4 or more years, then display ‘Y’.
        4. If it was indicated that the youth’s last pediatrician/Primary care provider appointment was unknown, then display ‘Y’.
        5. If any of the above is not true, then display
    2. Referred to SUD: Displays the SUD referral results of the screening.
      • Pertaining to Youth screenings, the logic for SUD referral for Youths is as follows:
        1. If the situation was a crisis/emergency, then display N/A
        2. If the question 17 was marked yes, then display ‘Y’
      • Pertaining to Adult screenings, the logic for SUD referral for Adult is as follows:
        1. If the situation was a crisis/emergency, then display N/A
        2. If either question 13 or 14 was marked yes, then display ‘Y’
        3. If any of the above is not true, then display ‘N’.
    3. Referred to Clinician: Displays the Clinician referral results of the screening.
      • Pertaining to Youth screenings, the logic for Clinician referral for Youths is as follows:
        1. If the situation was a crisis/emergency, then display N/A
        2. If either question 19, 20, or 21 was marked yes, then display ‘Y’
        3. If any of the above is not true, then display ‘N’.
      • Pertaining to Adult screenings, the logic for Clinician referral for Adult is as follows+:
        1. If the situation was a crisis/emergency, then display N/A
        2. If question 11 was marked yes, then display ‘Y’
        3. If any of the above is not true, then display ‘N’.
