Titrating A Medication

At this time, we do NOT recommend using the “Titrate” feature in Medication Management Rx. Titration and taper orders created using the Titrate feature in Medication Management Rx cannot be sent electronically to the pharmacy. These orders generate a printed prescription only.

1. If you want to titrate a medication, once you select your medication and the strength, then you can add create each step by increasing or decreasing the dosage form or total dose, and the Rx Start Date. 
2. If you need additional doses of different frequencies beyond two row entries, then click on “More Steps” to add. 
3. Of note, if you desire a different strength, then you will need to create a new order, otherwise you will get an error.
